Would anyone like to go rock hunting on the 4th of July? I know a place where the quartz crystals are pretty easy to find would like to go there on the 4th. The only equipment I bring is a little garden rake. I find it very relaxing to dig through the dirt gardening for rocks! but some people bring shovels picks screens and are much more serious about it than I am.Its a relatively short hike although at least one mile is really steep and through the woods the other two miles are gradual with a nice view. Its by Snoqualmie pass and I was thinking we could either pack a picnic dinner or stop for barbeque maybe see the Seattle fireworks on the way back to Bellingham.I am almost 25, in ok shape, a reader everything from trash to classics, NPR junkie, a grandmother of three, and a rock hound. I make jewelry stuff out of the crystals. Ive been unemployed for almost two years and Im not sure if Im going to go back to work.
